Fall Arrest / Fall Protection (Ontario)

Course Length - 4 Hours

Falls from an elevated working height are one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities.

Any individual that dons a harness must be trained prior to wearing it.

OSG's Fall Arrest/Fall Protection program will provide participants with an understanding of applicable legislation when working at elevated heights, potential fall hazards and controls, and appropriate selection, use and limitations of various types of fall protection and arresting equipment.

A practical demonstration of harness inspection and donning is provided in the course as all participants are required to inspect and don a harness during the class.

The course is broken down into the following content modules:

  • Differences between Arresting and Prevention Systems

  • Associated Fall Hazards and Control
  • Harness and Lanyard Inspection
  • Harness Donning
  • Question and Answer
