Fall Protection Train the Trainer
Falls from an elevated working height are one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities.
Any individual that dons a harness must be trained by a competent person prior to wearing it.
OSG's Fall Arrest/Fall Protection program will provide participants with an understanding of how to convey applicable legislation when working at elevated heights and potential fall hazards and controls. The program will provide insight as to the appropriate selection, use and limitations of various types of fall protection and arresting equipment as well as teach participants how to relate the importance of harness inspection and donning. All participants are required to inspect and don a harness during the class.

- Associated Fall Hazards
- Eliminating, Reducing and Controlling Fall Hazards
- Harness and Lanyard Inspection

Course Material:
Record of attendance, wallet card and wall certificate, 1 Trainer Manual, 1 Training DVD, 1 CD-ROM containing containing read only files for the powerpoint presentation, test and answers. Sample certificates along with a course materials order form are also included.

21. (3)A worker required to wear protective clothing or use personal protective equipment or devices shall be adequately instructed and trained in its care and use of the clothing, equipment or device before wearing or using it.
26.2 (1)An employer shall ensure that a worker who may use a fall protection system is adequately trained in its use and given adequate oral and written instruction by a competent person.
