Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Train the Trainer
Failure to recognize and control hazards associated with exposure to biological, chemical and physical agents has led to an increase in occupational illnesses.
Our course will teach instructors how to properly facilitate a memorable WHMIS program specific to your work environment.
Our WHMIS program will provide instructors with an understanding of the fundamental requirements of WHMIS legislation, as well as, providing a useful comprehension of the WHMIS system, hazards, classifications and the health effects of such hazards.
The course is broken down into the following content modules:
- Application of WHMIS
- Worker Rights
- Classes and Symbols
- Supplier and Workplace Labels
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Exposure to Hazardous Material
- Question and Answer
Course Material:
Record of attendance, wallet card and wall certificate, 1 Trainer Manual, 1 Training DVD, 1 CD-ROM containing containing read only files for the powerpoint presentation, test and answers. Sample certificates along with a course materials order form are also included.

42. (3)In addition to providing information and instruction to a worker required by clause 25 (2) (a), an employer shall ensure that a worker exposed or likely to be exposed to a hazardous material or to a hazardous physical agent receives, and that the worker participates in, such instruction and training as may be prescribed.
