Michael DeCina is one of the newest members to OSG’s Training and Consulting Team. He holds his CRM, P.GsC, and a CHSEP designation. Michael’s experiences prior to joining the OSG team include roughly 20 years of risk management experience in a variety of industries. His lifelong passion for helping employers lower risk levels led naturally to his becoming an OSG trainer. His training goals include helping companies reduce risks in order to be safe, happy, and efficient. Michael is also working toward his CRSP designation, and has plans to publish a book that examines setting and achieving safety goals. His training style is described as direct and thorough, and his passion for safety is apparent in his delivery of topics such as Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Lockout, Working at Heights: Construction, and Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification Part 1 & 2.
When he isn’t delivering training courses all over the Greater Toronto Area, Michael enjoys travelling and music. Michael’s other passion, besides health and safety, is wine! A self-described oenophiliac, Michael’s knowledge of fine wines, wine pairings, the fine art of wine making, and of course wine tasting is vast. Anyone around the office who needs a recommendation for a dinner party or gift bottle knows who to talk to! Michael is also passionate about animal and children’s rights and welfare.
