Updated Guidelines for JHSC's issued by the MOL

A new booklet from the Ministry of Labour booklet called “A Guide for Joint Health and Safety Committees and Representatives in the Workplace” has been published.

Although it is dated May, 2011 it does not contain anything about the impact of Bill 160 on those committees. It includes the following statement:

“A new print edition of this guide, which will include recent changes to the Occupational Health and Safety Act contained in Bill 160 (Occupational Health and Safety Statute Law Amendment Act, 2011 – Third Reading May 18, 2011), will be available in the spring of 2012.”
