Automated External Defibrillator Training
The AED program is designed to teach adults and children the lifesaving skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants.
The course is designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
This course teaches participants to recognize and treat emergencies such as cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke and choking and includes role playing and hands on exercises.
The course is broken down into the following content modules:
- Signs of a heart attack and stroke
- Adult CPR and choking
- Emergency scene management
- Proper pad placement and maintenance
- AED maintenance
- Hands on exercise
- Questions and Answers
